Didi Taxi officially started its car assembly project

On April 6, 2021，Didi Taxi announced to start its custom car assembly project for network taxi service together with BYD.

In November 2019, Didi Taxi and BYD established a  automotive technology company , called wonderful trip ( Hangzhou ) automotive technology company. In this company, BYD hold 65% of stocks, Didi hold another 35 , which means BYD is the controlling shareholder.

The two companies then teamed up to launch the custom ride-hailing D1 in November 2020.

According to the report, Didi's plan is likely to be a further exploration of customized online ride-hailing along with experience of D1.
